I paint from the place where the five senses go quiet. That's where the work begins - not in what I see, but in what arrives when seeing stops.
Meaning isn't found. It's built - definitions are tools we make to survive what we don't understand. The canvas is where I test mine.
Some pieces show up loud. Others arrive after I leave the room. The strongest ones are usually the ones I didn't intend.
